Iran Came First at the Silverstone Technology Competition
Iran’s team of technologists came first in 2009 at the Formula Student competition in Britain. Mohsen Esfahanian and Mehdi fadaei, faculty of Isfahan University of Technology, lead the team of seven technologists that participated at the Silverstone Circuit Class 3.
Iran was trailed by Britain and Hungary respectively and it was the only representative from Asia present at the competition.
The purpose of the competition is to boost students’ technical knowledge and connect them with the world of industry. Companies such as Toyota, Honda, Airbus, and Shell support the competition, therefore this win could be a great way for students from Iran to be connected with the outside world especially through their skills and knowledge.
